Dear Souls - Remedy difficult times in romantic relationship

Steps to remedy difficult times in your romantic relationship (excerpt from a private channeling)


1. Put down the weapons – the weapons of words primarily. Stop using your speech in hurtful ways, or even small remarks that have a big punch of pain to the other. Be willing even if it is just between yourself and your God to admit to this flaw. Recognize that the pain you may want to inflict on a loved one, or anyone is because of the pain inside of you. For this to stop the urges you both must be soothed, healed, transmuted, and transformed with the alchemy of love, forgiveness and acceptance. Thus, step one is to go within and honestly check yourself and your motives, your pain, hurt and suffering and heal this, stop inflicting it on others.


2. Reach out with no other intention than to say: My actions are due to my own pain and suffering. In that pain and suffering I often want to make you and others suffer too. I know this isn’t my true nature. I am asking for and working toward healing. Please accept my apology. Or… Just announce…I am in pain and therefore I am acting badly toward you, for this I am sorry. I wish to heal my own wounds so that I can be a better and more loving partner.


3. State your true desires: to know the other, understand them and express a universal, unconditional divine love, to heal your own wounds, to create safe and nurturing space for them to heal their wounds…etc. Look deeply to see what it is you truly want by being in this relationship.


4. Determine what needs you have and make requests: To continue to build this relationship in healthy ways I request the following. Then speak it with clarity to your partner. Ask for mutual understanding, ways to resolve or recommit in the most loving way possible.


5. Reveal: reveal your fears – this may sound something like: You don’t love me; I’m not loveable; I’ll never sort this out; I or you won’t be able to change in time to save this relationship; we will break up; we are too different to work this out; you don’t care enough to work this out; we won’t be able to untangle the mess we’ve made; we will fail, I will fail…whatever the underlying fears are please dig deeply to discover them and tell the truth.


6. Join together: Find a spiritually uplifting thing to do on a daily basis together: You might pray, meditate; share a book; listen to uplifting messages. Whatever it may be, do it together to rebuild a foundation based on the principles of faith, trust, healing, love and understanding.


7. Create a manifesto. One example might be: We are willing to help each other heal and decrease the suffering we put on one another knowing that suffering will come to us anyway – just through life’s disappointments. Thus neither of us wants to cause any more suffering between us.


8. Conduct weekly couples meetings to speak honestly and safely about your feelings, actions, and intentions and to plan the stability and growth of your future together.
